PHOENIX, AZ – Sanderson Music welcomes multi-award winning singer and songwriter LeAnn Rimes to the intimate Celebrity Theatre at 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 17th, 2010. All tickets are subject to a surcharge. Country music’s LeAnn Rimes is best known for her rich vocals similar to legendary country singer Patsy Cline. She rose to fame at the age of 13, becoming the youngest country music star since Tanya Tucker in 1972. Her debut album, Blue, reached #1 on the Top Country Albums chart and was certified "multi-platinum" in sales. When Rimes released her next album You Light up My Life: Inspirational Songs, Rimes went to more country pop material, which would set the trend for a string of successful albums. Since her debut, Rimes has won two Grammy Awards, including the first Best New Artist accolade ever won by a country artist. She has sold more than 37 million records, won an American Music Award, 12 Billboard Awards, and received three Academy of Country Music honors. She has scored numerous hit singles, among them “One Way Ticket,” “I Need You,” “Nothin’ Better To do,” “Probably Wouldn’t Be This Way,” “Can’t Fight The Moonlight” which was a #1 song in 11 countries, and “How Do I Live,” which was the longest running single ever on the Billboard Hot 100, spending a record-setting 69 weeks on the chart. Her latest album, Family, is a landmark in an already distinguished career. Not only does it chronicle the myriad relationships and experiences that have shaped the life of one of America’s most successful artists, but it also marks the first time Rimes has written or co-written every song. She’s no longer the teen with the big voice. At 27, she’s an intelligent, mature young woman with much to say! Her book, What I Can Not Change, was released earlier this year.
